Privacy policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Rydgeline sets up and manages AI receptionists that answer phone calls and send text messages for home service businesses, like HVAC, plumbing, and roofing companies. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It applies to:

When you call or text one of our clients, we handle your information on that business's behalf. The business decides how it uses the information and may have its own privacy policy as well.

Information we collect

Phone and call data. When a call is answered by an AI receptionist we manage, we collect your phone number and caller ID, the date, time, and length of the call, a recording of the call, a written transcript, and a summary of what was discussed.

Text message (SMS) data. When texts are sent or received through our service, we collect your phone number, the content of the messages, when they were sent, whether they were delivered, and any opt-in or opt-out requests (like replying STOP).

Details you share. On a call or by text, you may give your name, service address, the problem you need help with, appointment times that work for you, and similar details.

Demo bookings and contact. When you book a demo, our scheduling tool collects your name, email, phone number, business name, and anything you add to the booking form. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.

Website visits. Our website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't have forms of its own. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

How we use information

Call recording

Calls handled by our service, including calls to our demo line, may be recorded and transcribed. Where the law requires it, callers are told at the start of the call that it may be recorded. We use demo-line recordings to improve our service, and we only publish a recording, such as the example on our website, with the caller's permission.

How we share information

We don't sell personal information. We share it only in these cases:

We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or other mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver messages for us.

Text messages and how to opt out

You may get texts from a business that uses Rydgeline, for example a text back after a missed call, replies to your messages, and appointment confirmations or reminders. If you book a demo with us, you may get texts about your demo. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. You'll get one text confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no more texts will be sent to your number from that number. To start again, reply START. For help, reply HELP or email company@rydgeline.com. Opting out of texts doesn't affect your ability to call the business.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our terms for more about our text messaging program.

How long we keep information

We keep call recordings, transcripts, messages, and booking details for as long as we provide the service to the client the information belongs to, or for a shorter period if the client asks. After that we delete it, unless we need to keep it longer to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Opt-out records are kept so we can keep honoring your request.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including access controls and secure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing company@rydgeline.com. If your information came from a call or text with one of our clients, we may need to work with that business to handle your request. Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights under state law, and we'll honor them as required. We won't treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

Children

Our service is meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll take reasonable steps to let affected clients know.
