Terms of service

Last updated: November 4, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Rydgeline website and our AI receptionist service. By using our website, calling our demo line, or signing up for the service, you agree to these terms. “We” and “us” means Rydgeline. “You” means the person or business using our website or service.

What we provide

Rydgeline sets up and manages an AI receptionist for your home service business. Depending on your setup, it can answer calls, text back missed callers, book appointments on your calendar, flag emergencies to your on-call staff, and send you call summaries. We build it based on the information you give us and keep improving it while you're a client.

Your responsibilities

AI limitations and emergencies

Our AI receptionist is built to be accurate, but like any person or software it can mishear, misunderstand, or make mistakes. You're responsible for confirming jobs, prices, and appointment details with your customers.

Rydgeline is not an emergency service and does not replace 911. The AI can flag urgent calls and pass them to your team using the rules you set, but anyone in danger, or reporting a gas leak, fire, or carbon monoxide, should call 911 or their utility right away.

Fees, billing, and cancellation

Your price is agreed with you before you go live and billed monthly. There's no long-term contract: the service is month to month, and you can cancel anytime by emailing company@rydgeline.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Fees already paid aren't refunded unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may pause the service if a payment is late, after letting you know.

You keep your business phone number. If you cancel, simply turn off call forwarding and your calls go back to ringing you directly.

Text messaging program

Rydgeline text messages are sent to people who contact a business that uses our service, or who book a demo with us. They include missed-call text backs, replies to your messages, and appointment confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use our service to send spam or unwanted marketing, to mislead or harass anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or its providers. We may suspend or end service for misuse.

Our website and estimates

Content on our website is for general information. The missed-call calculator gives rough estimates based on the numbers you enter. It isn't a promise of results. The comparison table shows typical industry ranges, and actual costs vary by provider.

Ownership

You own your business information, your customer information, and your call and message records. We own our software, setup methods, and website. You give us permission to use your information only to provide and improve your service.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the service running and accurate, but it's provided “as is.” We can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we can't guarantee any number of calls, bookings, or revenue. Phone carriers, internet providers, and other services outside our control can affect calls and texts.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rydgeline isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost jobs, or missed calls. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to cover claims against Rydgeline that come from information you gave us, from how you use the service, or from your not having permission to call or text a customer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let current clients know before it takes effect.
